Cotoneaster Atropurpureus 'Variegatus' 3Ltr

As it's common name would imply, the shoots and branches of this attractive, low growing, spreading shrub take on the appearance of a fishbone and present very attractively the glossy, grey-green with a bold silver edge leaves, which thurn orange-red in Autumn before falling. Masses of white flowers in the late spring, early summer are followed by a bold display of red glossy fruits. Ideal for ground cover and training on a wall or trellis.

Suitable for: Tolerates all planting positions and soil types. Completely hardy.
Height and spread in 10 years: 1m x 1m (3ft x 3ft). Grown as a wall shrub will protrude 30cm (12in) from wall.

Soak the rootball before planting. Plant in a hole twice the diameter of the rootball or pot. Mix an organic soil improver and general fertiliser with the infill soil. Water regularly until established.

Care: Normally requires no specific plant care.
