Planting
Water the plant well, remove the pot and plant in a hole large enough to avoid disturbing the rootball. Back-fill with soil mixed with compost. Water again and throughout the plant's first year of growth.
Aftercare
Cut back dead flower spikes to encourage repeat flowers throughout the summer and remove overwintered withered foliage in spring. Divide every 3-4 years to maintain vigor.
