Vitex agnus-castus latifolia (Common Name Chaste Tree) is a large deciduous shrub or small tree whose lovely spikes of mauve flowers are very welcome late in the year. It seems to be quite a slow growing plant

Position: Requires moist but well-drained soil in partial shade or full sun.

Planting: Water the plant well remove the pot and plant in a hole large enough or container to fit the rootball without disturbing it. Back-fill with soil mixed with compost. Water regularly and throughout the plant's first year of growth.
