Pennisetum alopecuroides 'Red Head' is a clump-forming grass with narrow green leaves that grow up to 60 cm in height. The foliage turns golden in autumn and takes on a buff color in winter. In mid to late summer, it produces smoky, dark red, bottlebrush-like flowers that gradually turn brown in autumn and often remain on the plant throughout winter.
