Pittosporum Tenuifolium 'Silver Queen'
Each of the year round retained leaves is grey-green with a bold silver band of variegation across it. Pyramid growing in habit, with dark black stems. Use in association with purple-leaved plants for mid-way planting in mixed or shrub borders. Good in coastal areas. Ideal for growing in containers for patio, terrace and conservatory use.
Suitable for: Best in full sun to very light shade on well-drained soil. Needs protection in winter from sheer cold.
Height and spread in 10 years: 2.2m x 2.2m (7ft x 7ft)
Planting: Soak the rootball before planting. Plant in hole twice the diameter of the rootball or pot. Mix an organic soil improver and general fertiliser with the infill soil. Water regularly until established.
Care: Can be lightly clipped and trimmed into shape during Summer if required.
